Vintage/Antique Art Deco Czech Vauxhall Glass Pendant Necklace & Earring Set
Dates to the early Art Deco era, circa 1920.
Crafted in base metal, which appears to have been gold plated or washed. I believe that these pieces are most likely Czechoslovakian in origins, although they are unmarked.
Set of screw-back earrings complete with a matching pendant. I am amazed that these have managed to stay together after all these years! (The necklace chain is not original, but is a recent replacement.)
The pendant measures 1.58 from the decorative bail to the base, with a maximum width of 0.91" from side to side. The included necklace measures 19" from end to end.
The earrings themselves are 0.66" around, and 0.76" from the top to the base of the screw-back.
Both pendant and earrings are set with a large rose-cut citrine-coloured glass 'stones', which are held in by decorative claws.
The pendant appears to have worn the test of time better than the earrings, and is in very good condition. The gold wash or plate has worn from the earrings at the back, revealing the copper based metal underneath, and the 'stones' have spotting from the metal behind them tarnishing. Overall, they are in good condition.
This set has been cleaned, polished, and is ready to wear.
