Vintage Shorts 80s 90s 1980s Neon Geometric Surf Surfboard Surfer Chain Pattern

Guessing the fabric is cotton or a blend of. Fabric is not stretchy but waist has some stretch as it is elastic.
Totally radical neon geometric pattern.
Any wear or fading (although I do not consider them showing wear or fading.... the fabric of the time tending to have a wash with a bit of a faded appearance event it was new) or anything else is to be considered character. My opinion is that these are REALLY nice.
Resting, waist measures 10” from side to side. Pulled unrealistically taut goes up to 17” from side to side. It is, innno way, realistic to stretch this taut. In my opinion, the waist most reasonably stretches up to 12” or 13” from side to side. It will stretch more BUT the more it’s stretched the tighter it will be on the waist.

Although I think these may be kids, they could fit a smaller adult if the measurements work.
