    ]
    Hobart was founded in 1897 as the
    Hobart Electric Manufacturing Company
    in Troy, Ohio, by Clarence Charles Hobart (1855-1932). To increase motor sales, the company attached motors to coffee mills and meat grinders, creating a powered food production machine.
    The company reorganized in 1913 as
    The Hobart Manufacturing Company
    and became Hobart Corporation in 1974. The former Kitchen Aid division was formed in 1919. In 1934 Hobart bought the Dayton Scale Company (an IBM division) from IBM. Dart & Kraft acquired Hobart in 1981. Kitchen Aid was sold to Whirlpool Corp. in 1986 after accepting "an offer they had to seriously consider"
    .
    Dart & Kraft split in 1986, with Hobart becoming part of Premark. Premark was acquired by Illinois Tool Works in 1999. In 2001, Hobart became a part of Illinois tool Works Food Equipment Group

    About Us
    I have been buying & selling antiques & collectibles for over 40 years now in shops, malls, at shows, and now on the internet. I specialize in old paper items, but appreciate all kinds of collectibles and know a little bit about a lot of things and have dealt in many types of collectibles. I, like many other dealers, prefer to sell things that I like, and paper, advertising, old store and warehouse stock, and old items with interesting graphics are some of the things that I like to sell. I am always on the lookout for interesting paper items, of all types, that have nice graphics and appeal. I love the older labels because of that and am always interested in purchasing or trading for those kinds of things. If you have a group or quantity of old warehouse stock, labels, or anything older that I might have an interest in, let me know Thanks, Jim
