New York Cocoa Clearing Association 1930 stock certificate - Clearing house

Up for auction is a scarce stock from the New York Cocoa Clearing Association, Inc. Issued New York, Oct, 1930. Printed by Broun-Green, excellent condition, low #148.
The Cacao Manual states that “The New York Cocoa Clearing Association, Inc., is a clearing house or central agency set up by the Cocoa Exchange through which the transactions made by its members are cleared and financial settlements are effected. Its members mostly comprise members of the Cocoa Exchange. Among its other duties, the Clearing Association announces the date when cacao futures mature.”
Hand-signed by the president, issued to and signed by Wm. H. Kennedy. Only 250 shares were authorized.
