N Scale Atlas/Kato GP9 D&RGW Denver & Rio Grande Western #5951

This auction is for a Rio Grande, GP9 by Atlas/Kato. This is an early Atlas model so it has a Kato drive. D&RGW Road #5951. I replaced the original chassis with an Aztec chassis which has the correct truck spacing. The shell fits loosely over the chassis, so you need to be careful when you pick-up the locomotive. locomotive has been weathered. This is a very nicely running locomotive. It also has MT couplers installed and running board numbers. Lights work in the short hood but not in the long hood. This is a DC locomotive and it is not DCC ready.
