This vise will firmly hold forming stakes, bracelet mandrels, ring mandrels, and even dapping tools vertically at the ideal angle for bench work. The jaws on this vice are 3-1/2" by 3-1/2" and have 2 grooves: one runs back and forth and the other groove runs side to side. This allows stakes and mandrels to lock and to be mounted in either direction. This can be boltedBolted properly to a heavy table, bench or other work surface, the Bonny Doon vertical vise will hold any mandrel or horizontal stake immovably. Most vises—no matter how large—cannot withstand heavy hammering without losing their grip on the stake or mandrel. You are going to love this amazing benchtop tool!
Constructed entirely of steel, the vice jaws measure 3"W x 3"D x 3/4"H and open to offer a generous 1-1/2" of workspace.
