LUND Fender Well and Fender Well Gun, Tower, Top and Rail Top Mount, Flush Mount Side, Side Mount, Heavy Duty Coolers, Dog, Hand Held Tool Boxes, Utility Vehicle and ATV, 5th Wheel, and Under Body Specialty Boxes all extend truck storage capacity with safe and secure storage box solutions. The Fender Well, Tower, Top and Rail Top Mount, Flush Mount, and Side Mount truck boxes are designed with a low-profile to allow a clear line of vision for drivers, while offering the maximum amount of storage space. Each box can be mounted along the inside rail of the truck bed, allowing full truck bed usage for larger cargo. The Flush Mount boxes are also available in cross over and in bed configurations and feature offset lid construction that permits lids to open fully without back wall interference. Covering storage solutions both on and off the truck, Lund also offers Heavy Duty Coolers with double wall insulation to keep items cooler longer, Hand Held Tool Boxes for a strong, secure, carrier for valuable tools and equipment, and Dog Boxes that offer safe transportation and protection with abundant ventilation. ABOUT THE MANUFACTURER
It all began in 1965 when Allan W. Lund, an entrepreneur highly skilled in the design of fiberglass products, decided to start his own company. Before founding LUND and producing accessories for the truck market, Allan was a teacher and insurance salesman. In 1974, he began making sun visors– functioning much like a baseball cap, except for trucks. By the late 1970s, the light truck market was growing, and LUND added accessories for light trucks to their product selection.
The next product LUND introduced was the cab spoiler. the need to expand product selection and also ways to sell our products, LUND established an authorized dealer program for auto parts stores, auto body and trim stores, and car washes, etc. Product sales were significantly boosted by dealers who customize new trucks before they leave the dealer’s lot. Soon, the company was offering 20 additional product lines, including bug shields, fender extensions, running boards, and grille inserts. Running boards were one of the company's fastest growing products from this period. LUND truck packages became so popular that people began asking for the “Lund look”.
In 1997, LUND acquired Deflecta-Shield Corporation. This merger created Lund International, a premier manufacturer and marketer of a portfolio of products that includes running boards, hood shields, side window deflectors, visors, tonneau covers, toolboxes, and truck bed protection. Later that same year, LUND also acquired Belmor, a manufacturer of specialty accessories for the heavy-duty trucking industry.
