Imperial Tsarist Romanov Russia Russian Orthodox Heavy Cross Pendant 14k 56 GoldYou won't find a cross as large or heavy from Russia during this time period outside of a museum. It is beautiful in person.
Both sides of this cross are decorated. The entire cross is solid 14k gold, tested with enamel work. It is very big with a considerable amount of gold.
There is nothing close to this on Ebay or any of the auction/marketplace sites. Very small crosses from this time period and region can sell for up to ,000

Excellent condition with minimal signs of wear, appears to have spent its entire life in the presentation box.
This Cross dates between 1899-1908 and was fabricated at the
Ovchinnikov Factory, St. Petersburg or Moscow, Russia
From 1865 to 1917,
Ovchinnikov
was the Imperial Court supplier.
Based on the size and elaborate design it appears to have been made for a person of great importance or a special occasion.
It sure looks a lot like the Grand Duchess Tatiana's Cross however hers was brass and made in the 17th century.
Includes the original presentation box with working closure and velvet lined, in very good condition.
Lid reads: Manufactured/Fabricated by P.
Ovchinnikov and includes the Double Headed Eagle Emblem.
