Fulper Wisteria 9-3/4in Vase, Racetrack Mark, Oriental Letters, Excellent Condn.

Description

This item is an old ca. 1920's Fulper 'Wisteria' glazed, 9-3/4in tall vase,
in the original Fulper matte Wisteria traditional glaze, with the
vase in excellent gently used condition
.
Vase has one bottom rim 1/4 inch chip that barely touches the glaze line, as we are showing in close-up within the attached photos. A previous owner has varnished or shellacked the bottom, perhaps to seal the chip, and that seal has flaked a little over time (see photos), but we have left it as we found it in Feb. of 1998.
Vase has no other chips, no cracks, no repairs, and there are no other flaws that we can identify.
Vase stands 9-3/4 inches tall, it is bottom marked with the Fulper racetrack mark with stylized oriental lettering, and it is exactly as pictured and described. Glaze shows more matte with some thick 'curdling' at the top, and that matte effect gradually blends into more gloss effect runs towards the bottom edge, but that effect was very difficult to photograph. Inside the top edge one can feel the thick runs that are often found on these pieces.
Neat old vase that we have owned since Feb. of 1998.
