    Description

    Escondido Mutual Water Company, Stock Certificate, A Issue, size 8 ½” x 11” in used condition, with signatures and stamps and cancellations, folds, marks, holes and rips. Printed on both sides, with a beautiful image of a flaming torch on one side with ornate borders, and an ornate border on the other side. The Escondido Mutual Water Company, Escondido, California, was incorporated May 9, 1905.  A real piece of Escondido history!
    This classic certificate is numbered A11011, dated May 5, 1947, for 11 shares issued to William Bevan Harris and Leona Harris.  On the back are two more financial forms stapled to the stock, one signed by the Harrises, and the other related to The Federal Land Bank of Berkeley.
