A very rare set of necklace and earrings.  The lariat necklace and earrings feature images of a seated buddha with a headress.  They are done in an intaglio manner with the images painted in silver and gold behind a glass.  They are wonderful!  The metal is a gold tone metal with a snake link chain.  The tassles have asian writing pendants.  The set is just killer!!! The parure dates to the Art Deco - Hollywood Regency period.
The necklace is a lariat design.  The opening can be 22 inches long.  The medalion is 35 mm tall and 38mm wide.  The earrings are 35mm (1 3/8 inches) in diameter.  They are clips which are tight and secure.  I do not see any hallmarks.  They are beautifully made!
