DESCRIPTION:
*Antique Stiletto Laying, Tatting, Lace Making, Sewing Tool*
This is a beautiful antique stiletto laying tool that was made to be used in tatting, lace making and other sewing arts.  It measures approximately 3 5/8" long.  It has a hole at the top of its handle that allows it be easily attached to a chatelaine or lanyard.  It is not marked as to manufacturer or metal.  The handle has ornate twisted portions and a number of slotted sections where the slots continue from one side to the other (see photos).  We are not sure if these slotted sections had a function or if they ware only decorative. It is in  good vintage preowned condition with only mild wear consistent with its age and use (see photos).  The stiletto section is not perfectly straight (see photos).
