Antique Nettel Camerawerk Photographic Plate Camera
Nettel Camerawerk was a cameramaker in Sontheim am Neckar, in southern Germany.
The company was founded by Robert E. Mayer and Max Korner in 1902.
The camera model is Nettel from 1903. The Nettel is a strut-folding plate camera with a focal-plane shutter, made by Nettel Camerawerk; the camera was introduced in 1903, while the company was still called Suddeutsches Camerawerk Korner und Mayer. Similar to the later Deckrullo-Nettel strut-folders, with the same strut system, allowing focusing by adjustable strut extension, with a built-in focus scale.
The high-quality lenses of their time are produced by the renowned high-class lens maker Rodenberg Jun Hannover - F=63/120mm Doppel-Anastigmat.
The camera has expected normal wearing on body, wearing on the leather and on the metal parts. Spots and dust in the lenses.
All the normal wearing for its age. There are no cracks no damages on the body, no dents, no scratches on the lenses, nor on the glass plate.
There are no holes, no damages on the harmonica. The camera is in good antique condition. The mechanical levers and buttons are functional.
