I have been collecting 3D media for the last 30 years and have finally decided it's time to part ways with some of my favorite things. This one is hard to part with! Besides it being very rare, The Stereo Royal has been my favorite stereo projector for over 20 years. It is so compact it can be easily carried anywhere (only weighs 8.5 pounds!) It sets up in seconds and can allow a group of friends to view your stereo slides without the wasted time of passing around a hand held viewer or setting up an awkward screen.
This is a very unique self contained polarized rear projection system for viewing Realist format stereo slides made by Stereocraft, Inc. It's a 3-D stereo projector with its own built-in screen that measures approx. 8" wide x 14" long x 5" tall when locked up. The contained unit folds open as shown in the photos and has a screen that measures approximately 5.5" x 6.5". Slides are fed in one by one from the side. Once the focus is set by the control arm on the left side of the unit, it stays in focus for any number of slides.
70 Vintage realist format Kodachrome slides and a xerox copy of the original instructions and rare one page brochure will be included.
From the rare brochure for the unit, it describes these features:

--Amazing brilliance of image in ordinary room light! (which is a bit of an
exaggeration - the lights do need to be dimmed or off)
--matched 50mm f/3.5 color corrected, coated, anastigmatic lenses.
--Easy to use...No horizontal or vertical adjustments necessary!
--Set focus once, and then show an entire series of slides without focusing - takes all standard, glass, plastic or paper mounted slides.
--Inside the case are two bins which can store 50 or more standard stereo slides.
--Modern luggage type plywood case for strength and nice appearance.
--Priced to suite everyone....only .95!
(.00 in 1950 had the same buying power as 7 in 2021 - Annual inflation over this period was about 3.44% according to the dollartimes website)
Also included with this viewer are Ten brand new vintage polarized glasses needed to view the stereo effect will be included and I will also include 70 vintage Kodachrome stereo slides that show off how amazing the 3D effect can be!
Condition:
The unit is in excellent vintage condition. It does have some outer wear from the over 70+ years of faithful use, but everything works as good as it ever has! I have taken every piece apart, cleaned it and rebuilt it again checking everything as I went. It has been thoroughly tested and works perfect! I used it tonight and it worked perfect as shown in my picture...and you should have seen it with the glasses on! Be very careful purchasing these units! The polarizing lenses often can be melted and replacing them is costly and a pain in the butt. This one has NO ISSUES! Your package will be securely packaged and insured for full value.
