    Description

    Book Description:  John O’Breiter,
The Seventy-Seventh Pennsylvania at Shiloh. A History of the Regiment.
Harrisburg, Pa.: Harrisburg Publishing Co., State Printer, 1908, 341 pages. Revised Edition. Gilt title on purple boards. Tight binding and clean pages throughout.  Overall a very good to near fine copy. Extensively illustrated, including 4 maps. The revised edition is the preferable of the two editions because it contains an entire added chapter on “Tunneling and Escapes from Confederate Military Prisons,” with which seventy-seventh men were prominently identified.  In addition to the history of the regiment and its various battles, this volume includes full rosters with dates of muster, rank, and various remarks.
